MOMENTUM BARISTA POSITION

30-34 Hours per week, 2 days off, Sat required twice per month, PLUS TIPS

 

 

 1.  Job Summary & Essential Duties

  • Customer Service should be NUMBER ONE

    • Greeting every VICD(Very Important Coffee Drinker) on their way in AND out

    • Answering customer questions

    • Accepting orders and payments 

    • Put VICDs BEFORE tasks, EVERYTIME WITHOUT EXCEPTION

    • Try to remember VICD’s names

    • Birthday calls every morning for them or their pet

    • Make people feel special!

  • Preparing, creating & dispensing all drink offerings

  • Grinding and brewing coffee beans and teas

  • Packaging food and beverages for sale

  • Selling retail coffee and teas, brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items and educating customers about brewing methods

  • Familiarization and retention of standard operating procedures and service offerings

  • Operating Point of Sale Systems

  • Janitorial & Custodial duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, general cleaning, emptying trash). 

  • Inventory tracking 

  • Stocking & Replenishment in kitchen and in retail displays

  • Espresso machine and grinder maintenance and cleaning, preformed daily

  • Sanitizing equipment and utensils 

  • Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, preparation, and presentation techniques to improve quality 

  • Updating signage and displays to attract customers

  • Utilization of social media to promote Momentum culture including Instagram, Facebook, Etc… 

 

2.  Work Environment 

  • Ability to walk, bend , and stand for extended periods

  • Employees must be able to traverse stairs on a regular basis. 

  • Able to lift up to 30lbs., shoulder height 

  • Able to work varying hours (as early as 6 AM, late, weekends & possibly holidays)

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment!

  • Travel may be required for training

5.  Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Knowledge of Apple Products preferred

  • Barista or Cafe Experience is a plus

MARKET ASSOCIATE POSITION

    1.  Job Summary & Essential Duties

  • Customer Service should be NUMBER ONE

    • Greeting every customer and Micro-Business Owner on their way in AND out

    • Answering customer questions

    • Put customers BEFORE tasks, EVERYTIME WITHOUT EXCEPTION

    • Try to remember vendors names

    • Make people feel special!

  • Advising, teaching, and demonstrating inventory application for Micro-Business Owners

  • Familiarization and retention of standard operating procedures

  • Operating Point of Sale Systems and cash drawer

  • Janitorial & Custodial duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping, laundry, dusting & general cleaning, emptying trash, watering plants inside and out). 

  • Responsible for bathroom cleanliness and and keeping paper towels and bathroom tissue available 

  • Stocking & Replenishment in retail displays

  • Updating signage and displays

  • Utilization of social media to promote Vintage Home Market and sell items, including:  Instagram, Facebook, Etsy, Ebay, Craig’s List, Etc… 

  • Website content management, including modifying and updating images, descriptions, tags, items for sale, etc…

  • Assist Micro-Business owners with research and analysis (i.e. pricing adjustments)

  • Opening & Closing Duties (start up and shut down procedures for POS, lights on, open sign on, etc…)

  • Able to work varying hours (as early, late, weekends & possibly holidays)
